When I'm just feeling a little down, 2 things I like to do are taking pictures and my books. I just took pictures from some of my books, randomly. Photos are a detail, a whole page or distorted by the page folding. If you want to see the works entirely, nothing better than a book store, a library or museums. Besides looking at them and reading them, I like to touch books, and also smell them. I know...
Raymond Depardon, Manhattan out, a gift from K. Yeah I'm lucky and I have plenty of presents. I love this photo, for many reasons. Leopard prints and fur are in fashion this winter. Funny! Seriously Depardon is such a great artist.

Iggy Pop, I need more, I really enjoyed reading this book. Besides you see all of Iggy, well you have to love Iggy...
Akira, the famous comic book. For a while, i read a lot of comic books, my shelves already full were threatening to collapse. I gave up. Not the most practical when you're moving.
The missed Paul Rebeyrolle, Total Alienation (detail), one of the best artists ever.
Recipe book from Magnolia Bakery. I love to bake.
Tulsa, Larry Clark. don't look at this if you're not feeling well.
Gregory Crewdson, Twilight, in fact an essay with G. Crewdson's photos, but I bought it for the photos. I discovered this photographer in Winterthur Switzerland, where there was an exhibition. The pictures are enormous, staged and beautiful, a little quirky.
Cindy Sherman, a retrospective. I don't remember how I got this book (apologies to the person you might have given it to me), I love Cindy Sherman, and I admire the consistency in her work.
Blank generation revisited, Television (detail), un book I purchased the 1st time I came to NYC. The photographers were signing the book, my copy is therefore signed.
Nan Goldin The ballad of sexual dependency. A classic, right ? Another gift from K.
A superbe gift. Yves St Laurent (détail).
Fellini's Cinecittà, a book I have since I was a teenager. Scene from 8 1/2 (detail).
"Indians at the time of the 1st photographers", Geronimo (detail), believe me this so called children's book is a treasure. I also love my E. Curtis book.
